Research Methodology

Research methodology is the university's most consequential course: it decides whether your thesis survives its defence, whether your NGO's baseline study means anything, and whether you can tell evidence from anecdote for the rest of your life. It is also among the most-tested subjects in master's entrance exams, MPhil selections and Lok Sewa's technical positions.

Ten lessons cover the complete research cycle at university depth: science and the logic of inquiry, problem formulation and literature review, research design families, measurement and instrument quality (validity/reliability), probability and non-probability sampling, data collection craft, quantitative analysis through hypothesis testing, qualitative analysis traditions, research ethics and academic integrity, and finally writing and defending the research report.
